Who we are
This website is operated by Sunshine Skyway Structures Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (incorporated June 2017), of Fellbarrow, Asby, Workington, Cumbria CA14 4RP.
Company registration number: 10837407. For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact andrew.wren@sunshineskywaystructures.co.uk.
We are the data controller for personal information you send us through this website.
What information we collect
Information you send us. The enquiry form on our Contact page does not transmit anything to us by itself. When you press “Send enquiry”, the details you typed — your name, email address, project type and your message — are placed into a new message in your own email application for you to send. Once you send that email, we receive whatever you chose to include, including anything else you add such as a telephone number or attachments. The same applies if you email us directly.
Information stored in your browser. Your cookie choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Technical information. We do not operate analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website. Our website hosting provider, GoDaddy, processes standard server and security logs which can include your IP address, browser and device information and the pages requested. If you choose to load the embedded map on the Contact page, Google will also receive technical information such as your IP address.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- Responding to your enquiry and discussing possible work — our legitimate interests in replying to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Providing and securing the website (hosting and server logs) — our legitimate interests in keeping the website available and protected from misuse.
- Remembering your cookie choice — this is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, and to comply with our obligations.
- Loading the embedded Google map — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
- Keeping records of professional correspondence — our legitimate interests and, where relevant, our legal obligations.
How we store and protect information
Enquiry emails are held in our business email account and associated project records. Access is limited to those in the business who need it. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold, although no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting work, and afterwards for as long as is reasonably necessary for our professional, insurance and legal record-keeping purposes. Your cookie choice remains in your browser until you clear it or change your preferences.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. It may be handled by:
- GoDaddy — hosting this website and its server logs.
- GoDaddy — the email service we use to receive and send correspondence.
- Google — only if you consent to loading the embedded map on the Contact page.
- Professional advisers, insurers or authorities where we are required or permitted to do so by law.
Your own email provider also processes any message you send us, under its own terms.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of the service providers above may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is intended to rely on UK adequacy regulations or on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For details of the safeguards applying to a specific provider, contact us at andrew.wren@sunshineskywaystructures.co.uk.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete information, in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it based on legitimate interests;
- ask for your information in a portable format, in certain circumstances;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email andrew.wren@sunshineskywaystructures.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity. To withdraw consent for the embedded map, use — this takes effect immediately.
Automated decision-making
This website does not carry out profiling or automated decision-making.
Other websites
Our website links to third-party websites and profiles, including LinkedIn, Instagram and Google Maps. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
